Why Do I Bruise So Easily?
Some people bruise much easier than others. It depends on a few different factors that you can’t control in most cases. If you bruise easily, one of these conditions might apply to you.
Skin Thickness – Those of us that have thin skin bruise much easier than those with thick skin. There is less padding to protect the capillaries from getting smashed and causing the bruise.
Age – It’s an unfortunate fact of life that we all get weaker as we get older. Our skin gets weaker and out blood vessels break more easily. As you get older, you will find that you will start to bruise much more often.
Disease – Certain diseases and conditions slow the recovery from bruises too. Some diseases make it harder for your body to reabsorb the blood that is stuck. You could also have weaker skin or weaker capillaries depending on what you have going on.
Medication – These reasons are the same as if you were suffering from a disease or condition as mentioned above.

Geranium essential oil has homeostatic properties (it stops bleeding), improves blood flow, and promotes the growth of new tissue. This makes it a very powerful essential oil to fight bruises.
The only downfall with using this oil is that it might result in increased inflammation at first. This is a result of the oil increasing blood flow to the capillaries that are ruptured. Once they start to close up, the geranium essential oil will get to work and you won’t regret your choice.
Geranium Bruise Cream – You never want to apply geranium essential oil directly to your skin. Mix a few drops into your favorite carrier oil, such as coconut oil, to dilute it first. This recipe will produce rapid results if you apply to the bruise a few times a day.
